Communications for Front Line Employees with the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce

A strong desire to develop communication skills is essential for all employees. Communication Skills for front line employees provides a comprehensive look into how to apply best practices in workplace communication, allowing employees to truly engage with their others. This program helps employees develop the ability to recognize the non-verbal cues that accompany verbal communication, actively listen to others in order to understand their point of view, identify the four main communication styles, recognize triangulation in the workplace and handle difficult conversations. Additionally, we cover how to apply best practices in workplace communication for different generations, allowing employees to create a more inclusive and harmonious work environment.

Transformational Leadership II with the Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (Closed enrollment)

Transformational leadership is a leadership style where a leader inspires and motivates others to achieve positive change in an organization. Transformational leaders: 
 
  • Create a vision: Articulate a vision that inspires others to perform beyond expectations 
  • Challenge the status quo: Encourage employees to question assumptions, explore new ideas, and think critically 
  • Foster a culture of growth: Create an environment that values intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving 
  • Support individual followers: Keep lines of communication open, mentor employees, and recognize their unique contributions 
  • Act as a role model: Demonstrate the characteristics they seek in their team 
     
Some qualities of transformational leaders include: Self-awareness, Authenticity, Ability to collaborate, Understanding of interdependence, and Humility.

Professional Sales with the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce

 The Marketing Essentials program equips participants with key principles and practical skills essential for developing effective marketing strategies and distinguishing messaging in today’s competitive landscape. 

 
By completing the curriculum, program participants will be able to:
  • Situational analysis: understand market environments, analyze competition, and identify target customers 
  • Strategic planning: develop and implement effective marketing strategies, set actionable goals, and choose appropriate tactics 
  • Campaign management: learn to execute, monitor, and adjust marketing campaigns to optimize performance

Digital Marketing with the South Queens Chamber of Commerce

This foundational course is ideal for individuals seeking to enhance their marketing capabilities and acquire transferable skills to foster business growth. Upon completion, participants can advance to more specialized marketing topics through Workplace Education programs.

This program is for you if:

  • You’re a small business owner, nonprofit manager, or aspiring entrepreneur 
  • You’ve never taken a marketing course/program, or it has been a while 
  • You have marketing responsibilities 
  • You’re looking to develop a marketing strategy and increase the results of your marketing efforts

Social Media Management with the CBDC – NOBL (Colchester)

This foundational course is ideal for individuals seeking to enhance their marketing capabilities and acquire transferable skills to foster business growth. Upon completion, participants can advance to more specialized marketing topics through Workplace Education programs.
