Sage Accounting with the Cumberland CBDC

We are in an are where the use of computerized accounting is no longer a ‘optional’. It also doesn’t have to be overly complex. This course is designed and delivered so that you can do the day-to-day accounting activites in Sage, and not have to be an accountant to do so. We will build a businesses books from scratch and see how all the components work with each other, and what you need to pay attention to.

Transformational Leadership with the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce

Transformational leadership is a leadership style where a leader inspires and motivates others to achieve positive change in an organization. Through this course, you will be able to: 
 

 

  • Identify the foundations of leadership
  • Identify your personal leadership style
  • Identify and apply the five levels of leadership
  • Apply Covey’s seven habits when leading others in the workplace
  • Demonstrate the characteristics of trust
  • Effectively lead a change process in the workplace
  • Identify the pillars of a respectful workplace
 
Some qualities of transformational leaders include: Self-awareness, Authenticity, Ability to collaborate, Understanding of interdependence, and Humility.

Microsoft Office with the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce

The concentration of this program is on word processing and spreadsheet skills. Although this

program is using the Microsoft environment and Office products, the skills and tools developed are

applicable to any Productivity Suite using any operating system. The level of complexity in the delivery

of this program is tailored to the participants in the room at any one time and, at this level, it is

intended for those who do not have, or do not feel they have, a strong foundation in computer use in a

business environment. By completing the curriculum and the associated exercises, the program

participants will be able to:

  • Navigate the Windows environment
  • Save, open, find & structure files & folders
  • Develop text based documents using Microsoft Word
  • Plan, build and use spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel

Marketing Strategies with the Downtown Kentville Business Association

This foundational course is ideal for individuals seeking to enhance their marketing capabilities and acquire transferable skills to foster business growth. Upon completion, participants can advance to more specialized marketing topics through Workplace Education programs.

This program is for you if:
